Future Dermatologist Brittany Monique Crawford is the Valedictorian for Booker T. Washington High School of Health Sciences and Nutrition

Robert Frost once wrote “The woods are lovely, dark and deep, but I have promises to keep and miles to go before i sleep…” as Valedictorian Brittany Crawford reflects on the words of one of her favorite poets, she understands just how far she has to go.   After graduating from high school, she must graduate from college, then medical school to reach her goal of becoming a dermatologist.

As someone who is fiercely dedicated to serving the community, Brittany has volunteered at Hughes Spalding Children’s Hospital, the Good Samaritan Health Clinic, and KiPP Ways Academy. She attributes her success to God, a supportive mother, her school counselor, and countless friends, family and teachers.

This support network has encouraged Brittany to always persist and move forward. So when she is faced with adversity, Brittany presses on, remembering that she has promises to keep, and miles to go before she sleeps.

The graduation ceremony for Booker T. Washington is Saturday, May 24 at 12 p.m.
