Washington Early College Salutatorian Naaija Muhammad to Study Psychology at Amherst College

Naaija Azza Muhammad’s high school career has been marked by outstanding academic achievement and participation in extracurricular activities, including Glee Club, National Beta Club, National Honor Society, sectional leader of the choral ensemble, and soccer manager.

Naajia has chosen Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts for her post high school studies.

She has been offered the King’s College Presidential Scholarship valued at $60,000, the Zell Miller Scholarship and the Florida A&M Distiniguished Scholars Award for a total of $160,000 in scholarship offers.

After earning a degree in psychology and linguistics, Naajia plans to pursue a career in psychology.

The graduation ceremony for Booker T. Washington is Saturday, May 24 at 12 p.m.
