Atlanta Public Schools 2025 State of the District Introduction

Atlanta Public Schools (APS) is going ‘Back to the Basics’ and delivering the 2025 State of the District with a different approach.

Over the next few weeks, APS students, families, partners, and stakeholders will have access to the 2025 State of the District video series featuring APS Superintendent Dr. Bryan Johnson and various departments detailing key strategic efforts to bring excellence everywhere in APS.

To fulfill our mission of creating a caring culture of equity, trust, and collaboration, where every student will graduate ready for college, career, and life, APS must operate as One District with One Goal focused on Every Child.

Inspired by former APS Superintendent Dr. Alonzo Crim’s ‘Back to Basics’ education philosophy, APS will build a solid foundation for every child, prepare every child for tomorrow, and develop holistic approaches to every child’s growth.

This series of videos will provide insight into APS’ vision and strategy to make our school district the best urban school district in America.
