For more than a decade, the Atlanta Public Schools Exceptional Parent Expo has connected families of exceptional students to educators, community organizations, and service providers offering resources and support for exceptional learners.

Families moved between interactive workshops, vendor booths, and student performances while gathering information designed to support students both inside and outside the classroom.

The Exceptional Education Department oversees services for students ages three through 21 who qualify for special education and related supports. Those services are delivered across a continuum of learning environments based on each student’s educational needs, with the department providing assessments, interventions, and individualized support plans.

APS exceptional education coordinator Stacey Collier said the expo reflects the department’s broader mission of working alongside families and community partners to help students achieve academic success and prepare for life after graduation. The following vendors and organizations participated in this year’s Exceptional Parent Expo, offering families information on programs, services, and next steps for accessing support.
