Be ready for Day One!
Back-to-School Bash is back and better than ever!
We are happy to announce that we will be back in-person Saturday, July 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Georgia World Congress Center located at 285 Andrew Young International Blvd, Atlanta, GA 30313. Find us in Halls C1 and C2, located closest to Northside Dr.
Back-to-School Bash is the District’s flagship event providing free backpacks, school supplies, and resources to APS students and families. This event is designed to prepare students for the first day of school and beyond.Â
Save time and pre-register at https://bit.ly/BashSignUp. Pre-registration closes Thursday, July 28, so please sign up today! As a reminder, this event is exclusively for Atlanta Public Schools students and their families.
Besides receiving a free backpack stuffed with school supplies, students can get a COVID-19 vaccination or booster shot, and register to vote, all while enjoying live performances and fun activities.Â
This year’s event will be centered around the APS5, our five measurable methods being implemented in all APS schools to improve student outcomes and fulfill our commitment to equity! (Want to learn more about what makes up the APS5? Click here.)
APS will be providing transportation to and from the event. To see the pickup locations, please click here. Parking is free but limited at the Georgia World Congress Center BLUE Lot located on Northside Drive. We encourage Bash-goers to ride MARTA or use a ride-share service such as Uber/Lyft. If using the MARTA train system, guests should exit at the Vine City Train Station.
If you are interested in volunteering at the Back-to-School Bash, please register by Monday, July 25. Register here: https://bit.ly/BashVolunteer
