The John Lewis Invictus Academy Lions defeated the Long Middle School Tigers 22-0 in the Atlanta Public Schools Middle School Football Championship game on Saturday at Lakewood Stadium. John Lewis Invictus Academy has an 8-1 record, and was the only team to score against Long Middle School. The Tigers (8-1) only loss this season was in the championship game. Both teams had great seasons, and played a tough, competitive championship game. The winner of that game advances to play in the Born to Compete Youth Bowl Series on November 25, at Henderson Stadium.
