South Atlanta School of Health and Sciences Valedictorian Jorden Favors plans to attend Barnard College of Columbia University to study Neuroscience

When Jorden Favors entered South Atlanta School of Health and Medical Sciences, she aimed for the top. She led study groups and invited others to study with her. She is confident but not cocky; she asks thought provoking questions without being obnoxious; and she challenges the status quo without appearing to be a trouble-maker. As a transfer student, she is very thankful for the many opportunities at South Atlanta. She earned a chance to study at Emory University and all-expense
paid trips to Princeton University and to a prestigious medical conference in Washington, D.C.
