Precious Blalock is an extremely versatile young lady who always goes beyond what is required to reach her goals. When she entered South Atlanta School of Health and Medical Sciences, it was evident that she lived by the mantra, “the question isn’t who’s going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me” by Ayn Rand. She not only achieves academically, she contributes to the total school program. Precious has accumulated over 1,375 volunteer hours. She also participates in the Emory School of Medicine Pipeline Program where she collaborates with medical and undergraduate student’s onsite at the university each Wednesday after school. For seven weeks last summer, Precious resided at Princeton University as a participant in the LEDA (Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America) Scholar Program, which is an intensive academic program providing dynamic training in ethical leadership, critical thinking, and analysis of tests on philosophy, democracy and citizenship.
