Ta’mia O’Kelly’s slightly reserved disposition belies a deep enthusiasm for the many endeavors of her daily life. She has a deep passion for reading and anxiously perceives each school day as a new opportunity to learn. Family members and peers describe Tamia as a self-sufficient young lady who is committed to participating in philanthropic activities. She has participated in a myriad of fundraising events for several charitable organizations that include hunger walks, breast cancer awareness campaigns, domestic violence charities, and packing meals for the less fortunate. Ta’Mia is the secretary of the Student Government Association, a member of the National Beta Club, Yearbook Editor, and a member of the Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy. She is the youngest of three children and plans to utilize her creative talents to create a clothing line that will empower and enhance the community.
