Magaret Sullivan Neel is North Atlanta High School’s Class of 2014 Valedictorian. Margaret’s participation in North Atlanta’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme has increased her global and cultural awareness tremendously. Additionally, through the efforts of APS High School Teacher of the Year, Ms. Costarides, Margaret’s participation in Model UN has been enlightening and instrumental in teaching her the art of diplomacy. Margaret also thanks Mrs. Langley for allowing her students to use her kitchen to build theatrical sets, and the late Ms. Stevenson for demonstrating love, on and off the stage: “Your life was beautiful,” Margaret says. Finally, she thanks her parents for supporting her endeavors. “Even though I’m not the Libertarian you want me to be, I have truly found my passions in high school, and that is invaluable.” Margaret plans to attend college and major in International Relations. Her career goal is to become Secretary of State. The graduation ceremony for North Atlanta High School is Sunday, May 25 at 9 a.m. All APS commencement exercises will be available for online viewing via live stream by visiting http://atlantapublicschools.us/graduation2014 and clicking on a specific school.
