With 2.5 Million Dollars in Scholarship Offers, Kingsley Iyawe is Valedictorian at Carver High School of Technology

Kinglsey Iyawe will enter into the Carver history books when he walks across the stage during his graduation ceremony this Saturday.  The first male valedictorian of Carver High School of Technology, Iyawe transferred to the school during his junior year.

He experienced several exciting extracurricular activities, influential teachers and an overall stimulating journey. Kingsley has participated in the Morehouse Dreams to Teach Program since 2013. During his senior year, Kingsley participated in Georgia State University’s Dual Enrollment Accel Program, where he enrolled in American government, sociology and calculus. His educational experiences in both schools have provided an exceptional starting point for his post-secondary education options.

Kingsley gained admission to more than 25 colleges and universities, including the University of Georgia, Howard University, Syracuse University, Marshall, Georgia State, St. John’s, Millsaps College and Hampton University.  He is a Gates Millennium Scholar, Brumley-GRAD Scholar and Zell Miller Scholar.  He will attend Morehouse College this fall where plans to major in mathematics. His career goal is to become an actuary.

To date, Kingsley has received $2.5 million dollars in scholarship offers.
