The Class of 2014 Salutatorian for Benjamin E. Mays High School is Odyssey Wilson.
Odyssey recognizes Benjamin E. Mays High School as the source of her current success and future victories.
She thanks her senior army instructor, Major Sparks, for becoming her mentor and reminding her that she should always believe in herself and always give her best. Odyssey also thanks her mother for being her biggest fan and supporting her in every decision she has made.
Throughout her high school career, Odyssey has set an example for many of her peers to follow, and she has held leadership positions in several clubs and organizations.
One quote by Dr. Benjamin E. Mays has been the impetus that has shaped Odyssey into the well-rounded citizen she is today: “A legacy to keep and an image to uphold.”
Odyssey plans to attend the University of Georgia and major in Mathematics.
The graduation ceremony for Mays High School is Saturday, May 4 at 6 p.m at the Atlanta Civic Center.
