Morningside Elementary School held its annual National Geographic Bee with contestants from the 4th and 5th-grade homerooms. This year’s competition had an unusual twist as 4th-grade twins, Anna and Nathan Rachwalski, both stood as semi-finalists in the competition. The audience held its breath as the twins represented their respective homerooms along with their fellow classmates and battled in the competition for the top prize. Finally, Nathan emerged as the winner, and his sister Anna congratulated him with a big smile. Nathan will now complete a comprehensive geography test, which screens contestants for the state semi-finals. The national competition will be held in Washington D.C. in May 2014. Congratulations to Nathan, Anna, and all of the contestants for a job well done! – written by Mark Miller, media specialist at Morningside Share this: Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Print (Opens in new window) Print More Share on X (Opens in new window) X Like this:Like Loading… Discover more from APS Today Subscribe to get the latest posts sent to your email.
