Students at first meeting of the new Chat and Chew Book Club

Hope-Hill Elementary School received two grants through DonorsChoose.org, an online charity that makes it easy to help students in need through school donations. Paula Sanders Morris, who submitted the grants, will use the funds to purchase books for her new Chat and Chew Book Club.

The first grant for $1,150 was funded in 7 days and Disney matched each donation up to $100. The second grant for $401.00 was funded in four days. When a project reaches its funding goal, the materials are shipped to the school.

“This is our first book club and we are excited because this is going to a great addition to our school,” said Paula Morris, media specialist at Hope-Hill. “Our students are so excited and we look forward to reading all the books this grant has provided.”
