State Representative Stacey Abrams visited Fred Armon Toomer Elementary School during Georgia Pre-K Week to promote literacy and foster a love of reading with the Pre-kindergarten children. Toomer’s Pre-K children, Pre-K staff, several Early Learning Specialist from APS Office of Early Learning/Teaching & Learning, members of Representative Stacey Abrams’ office, and representatives from Voices for Georgia’s Children attended this special event.
“Rep. Abrams did a great job keeping the children engaged!” stated Winona Jones-Archie, APS Early Numeracy Specialist.
At the end of the story time, Rep. Abrams donated the books read to Toomer’s Pre-K classroom libraries. Toomer’s entire school community greatly appreciates Rep. Stacey Abrams, Voices for Georgia’s Children, APS Early Learning Office, and everyone who played a role in making the event a great success.
