Inman Students Prepare for Mock Trial with Attorneys

As sixth graders at Inman Middle School rigorously prepared for their upcoming mock trial, several attorneys from the community shared valuable insight from their experiences. In the mock trial, the students were assigned roles from the characters from the novel The Outsider by S.E. Hinton.

“We learned some very useful information that will help us defend or prosecute the defendant,” said Hope, sixth grader at Inman Middle School.

Great that lawyers took the time to help kids connect school with real life. Think it's terrific that teachers are thinking in creative ways to help students engage with things learned in class
