Student Arrival and Departure Times

Question:

My student does not ride the bus. What time can my walker/car rider arrive at school? When must my student depart?

Answer:

Schools will continue to open to receive all students 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the instructional day. Bus riders will be received upon arrival. Other students may not arrive at school prior to the times listed below unless they are enrolled in a school-provided before care program.

Students must depart within 15 minutes of the end of the instructional day unless they are supervised in an afterschool program or extracurricular activity.

Students who arrive prior to the school opening times below or depart after the closing times below may be referred to the school social worker.

Why are our elementary kids arriving to school a full 50 minutes early this year?...20 minutes earlier than car riders. Where will my child be and what will my child be doing between 7:10-8? Who will susupervise my child and all the bus riders?

@Whitney,elementary middle and high school bus routes have been updated. Elementatary students will now arrive, on average, at 7:20a. Every principal has a robust plan in place to accept and monitor all students. We have plenty of staff on hand at all schools.
