The seventh graders at King Middle School enjoyed a writing workshop called “Rap, Rhythm & Rhyme: Rebuilding the Writing Foundation.” This highly energetic, interactive workshop empowers students to organize their thoughts before writing them on paper. The students were fully engaged as they were learning to “Let it flow, and fix it later.”
“The main goal and purpose of the workshop is not only for students to score well on the CRCT or the Georgia Writing Assessment, but to find their voice, enjoy writing, and empower them to transfer their thoughts from their brain to their paper in an easy fashion.” – Erik Cork
