Early College High School Week

by talkupaps

garyEarly College High School Week is a national annual celebration of Early College High Schools, sponsored by Jobs for the Future.  Early college high schools and their partners around the country bring together students, administrators, parents, community leaders, and legislators to celebrate this event each year.  This year’s annual celebration is the week of March 25—29, 2013.

The week will continue highlighting the Early College model, proven to increase high school graduation and college-readiness rates among students who are least likely to attend college through academic rigor and college-level courses, not remediation.

As part of the Early College High School Week, Gary A. McGaha, Ph.D., President, Atlanta Metropolitan State College, will address the Booker T. Washington High School-Early College student body at 2:30 P.M. on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 in the school’s auditorium.  The event is open to parents, school partners, and the community.  The event will start at 2:00 P.M.

For additional information, call Booker T. Washington High School-Early College at 404-802-4603, or visit the school’s website at http://www.atlanta.k12.ga.us/Domain/3944 .
