Erroll Davis, superintendent for Atlanta Public Schools, has released his first recommendation for district wide school redistricting and school closures on the APS website’s demographic study page. Davis will formally submit his recommendation to the Atlanta Board of Education during its monthly meeting on Monday, March 5. Public hearings with the community will begin on March 12. According to the demographic timeline, posted on the APS website, the superintendent’s final recommendation is expected to post online on April 9 with a formal presentation to the Atlanta Board of Education on April 10. The Atlanta Board of Education will vote on the final recommendation regarding all school zone redistricting and/or school closures during the April 10 monthly meeting.
