APS Celebrates Advanced Placement Day

The Georgia Department of Education has announced that the

State Board of Education has passed a resolution declaring

February 8, 2012, as

AP Day in Georgia

Atlanta Public Schools Highlights

• Maynard H. Jackson HS will have morning and afternoon student lead AP announcements on AP Day in Georgia

• Benjamin E. Mays HS will have an AP Advisement session during Advisory on AP Day in Georgia

• AP/IB training for eligible teachers on Friday, February 10^th  hosted by APS-Gifted and Talented department

• AP workshop for AP coordinators and AP teachers on Friday, February 24^th hosted by APS-Office of High Schools

• Fifty-seven Atlanta Public Schools high school students earned the College Board’s 2011 AP Scholar Awards
