VSP® Vision Care mobile clinic will visit 3 APS school sites this week.. Doctors from Georgia Optometric Association, will perform eye exams during clinic visits. VSP Vision Care, the largest not-for-profit vision benefits company, is partnering with the eyecare experts of the Georgia Optometric Association for a three-day event this week to help local students receive access to quality eyecare services at no cost. VSP will bring its 45-foot mobile eye clinic to Whitefoord Elementary, Coan Middle School and Crim High School in Atlanta, and with the help of local eye doctors, provide free comprehensive eye exams and eyewear to low-income, uninsured and underinsured students. All students receiving this service have been pre-selected by the schools. “The increased use of technology in education means that now, more than ever, it is essential that students see as well as possible in the classroom,” said Dr. Tom Spetalnick, president of the Georgia Optometric Association. “Our members are excited to participate in a project that has a real impact on how well these students learn – which can translate into success well beyond their school years.” Share this: Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Print (Opens in new window) Print More Share on X (Opens in new window) X Like this:Like Loading… Discover more from APS Today Subscribe to get the latest posts sent to your email.
