Whitefoord Elementary 5th grade student earns scholarship for Art Smarts Atlanta

LaShay Ragland, a Whitefoord Elementary 5th grade student, has received a Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) scholarship to attend Art Smarts Atlanta for the summer at The Galloway School.  The camp offers an educational adventure in the arts.

Theme based programs are designed to broaden students’ understanding of and appreciation for the arts.  Programs are led by educators from the host school assisted by SCAD graduate teaching students.  LaShay will participate in the camp for Comic Art.  Each session ends with a Parent Showcase, featuring an exhibition of campers’ work and an ice cream bar.

Congratulations LaShay!  The Whitefoord family is very proud of you.
