Students at Douglass High School are scheduled to participate in the annual ‘Ghost Out’ demonstration at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 21 to warn prom night participants of the dangers associated with distracted driving. The event features a graphic re-enactment of a prom night automobile accident in which students have to be cut out a vehicle following an accident resulting from inattentive driving. The demonstration als includes mock funerals for fatalities associated with the accident. The event is intended to serve as a warning to students about the consequences of impaired and distracted driving in advance of prom season.
