APS high school graduates earned a record $128.6 million in academic and athletic scholarship offers this year. The Class of 2010, which comprises 2,158 students from 10 APS high schools, beat the $93 million in scholarships awarded to the Class of 2009, and $64 million awarded in 2008. Also, a record 29 APS students earned 2010 Gates Millennium Scholarships this year – more than any other school district in the nation. These scholarships cover tuition, room and board through college, as well as the pursuit of advanced degrees.
