The Title I District Parent Workshop to be held on Wednesday, Feb. 10 (tomorrow) invites parents, home-school liaisons, school administrators and partners to help spread the message: “Parents, get ready for testing.” The workshop will provide a range of information, including dates and explanation of tests; test-taking tips; strategies for improving scores in reading and language arts, math, science and social studies; and, to entice everyone, a great giveaway!
The workshop will run from 10 a.m. t0 1 p.m. at the Salvation Army Kroc Community Center (967 Dewey St.), Atlanta, GA 30310 (for those mapping). Please call 404-802-5345. Directions, from I-75/85: Take I-75/85 to University Avenue and proceed west. Turn right onto Metropolitan Parkway. Turn right onto Arthur Street and then left onto Dewey Street SW. From public transit: Take MARTA bus route 95, stops at the center throughout the day.
There will be a boxed lunch provided for all participants.
