Dunbar Poetry Slam is a success

Finger snaps replaced hand claps during an assembly at Dunbar Elementary today. It’s all a part of the school’s monthly poetry slam, where students recited free verse and rhyming poems about topics ranging from butterflies to Haiti. You can read more about this event and how it helps reinforce Georgia Performance Standards in the next issue of The Atlanta Educator.

Until then, enjoy a photo from the event.
