Falcons players swoop in on APS to promote fitness

Representatives from the Atlanta Falcons were scheduled to visit eight different sites — including Brown, Long and Turner middle schools — as part of the NFL-United Way’s “Hometown Huddle” project to promote better health and fitness. The AJC has a nice little piece on the event here.

From the article:

The Falcons are the only NFL team involving its entire roster. There will be a variety of different activities at the sites including, jump rope, shuttle run, push-ups and sit-ups.

UPDATE: Turner Principal Karen Riggins-Taylor was interviewed by WGCL (CBS46), and we hope to catch her on the 6 p.m. report!
