Assistance League of Atlanta donates school clothes to students at Gideons Elementary

Students at Charles L. Gideons Elementary School will receive a special delivery on Friday morning, courtesy of Assistance League of Atlanta. The all-volunteer organization will provide enough new pants, polo shirts, jackets and belts to keep 125 students in style. Earlier this month, the organization also donated school clothes, hygiene kits and shoe vouchers for 130 students in need, reaffirming its commitment to Atlanta Public Schools.

The donation is part of Assistance League’s Operation School Bell, a national program that provides key school resources for children. Nationwide, the program has provided support to more than 270,000 children, including  7,500 metro Atlanta students.
