Atlanta Public Schools (APS) reserves September as Alumni Month to honor graduates who now serve as employees. With more than 700 alumni among its staff, the district dedicates this time to highlight their contributions while encouraging them to share their stories and reconnect with classmates and the community.
As part of the observance, the alumni team is hosting a series of Friday spotlight pop-ups throughout the month to honor employees who have served for 30 years or more. The first pop up took place on September 5 and other activities have been planned, including alumni-focused events across the district and daily trivia this week testing employees’ knowledge of district history.
