More than 11,000 Atlanta Public Schools families got a head start on preparing for the upcoming school year at the 10th annual Back-to-School Bash.
APS went big for this milestone year and kept the party going as students and families made their way through the Georgia World Congress Center to collect a free backpack filled with school supplies, meet representatives from every APS school, and discover the valuable resources available to them through APS departments and the more than 100 exhibitors.
Families got to sample new offerings from the revamped Nutrition Services department, interact with the mascots from local professional sports teams, learn about various organizations that provide both mental and physical health resources, and be entertained by the amazing student performances that took the stage at Bash.
Atlanta Public Schools is ready and excited to welcome all its students back to school. Getting students prepared with the necessary supplies and resources is an important part of encouraging good attendance.
Thanks to our event sponsors, Mercedes-Benz USA, Amazon, Comcast, Georgia Natural Gas, and the T.D. Jakes Foundation for helping APS students start off the 2024-2025 school year with excitement, energy and the supplies they need to be ready for Day One.
