📹 APStv: Because of APS | Meet Mikia Benjamin

After taking the SAT and scoring an impressive 1350 with minimal preparation, it is clear that Mikia is an incredibly gifted young man with a great future ahead of him. After learning to focus on uplifting himself, he made a conscious decision to take accountability and lean into the community of believers at Frederick Douglass High School. With perseverance, focus, and drive, his world has opened to greater possibilities.

Now a graduate, Mikia’s journey continues as he builds on the understanding that nothing is impossible when you believe in yourself. Atlanta Public Schools is a district committed to the success of every student. Mikia’s story is a great example of how #BecauseofAPS, a student’s outlook and life can change for the better.
