Atlanta Public Schools Celebrates 2025 Cross Country Champions

2025 GHSA Cross Country State Champions Cameron Collier and Grace Danser with the Atlanta Board of Education and APS Superintendent Dr. Bryan Johnson

The 2025 GHSA cross country 4A state championship meet in Carrollton, Georgia, ended with three APS student-athletes earning medals.

Cameron Collier, a senior at Midtown High School, won the 4A state championship with a time of 16:07.78. Maynard Jackson High School senior Everett Sanders was the 4A state runner-up with a time of 16:09.01.

In the women’s 4A state championship race, senior Grace Danser overtook the leaders in the final stretch of the race and crossed the finish line (19:04.53) just one second before the second-place runner.

Cameron and Grace were recognized together at the Atlanta Board of Education’s December board meeting for winning their individual state titles.
