Atlanta Braves Mascot Blooper Shares Wellness Tips at Cascade Elementary School

Cascade Elementary School students had a special visit from Atlanta Braves mascot Blooper, who came to promote wellness and healthy choices with fun and games.

The Blooper’s Home Run program had the 317 scholars at Cascade Elementary School excited and engaged with relay races, demonstrations, and fun interactions with Blooper.

“This is an opportunity of a lifetime to have the Atlanta Braves supporting your school,” Cascade Elementary School principal Tiffany Momon said. “It’s helping students develop a sense of self-awareness for healthy habits and also getting exposure to baseball that they haven’t had before.”

The Atlanta Braves Foundation partnered with Cascade Elementary School to bring this opportunity to the students. In addition to spending a fun morning with Blooper, the students were surprised with an invitation to attend an Atlanta Braves game the following week.

“With opportunities like this, our kids get a chance to see beyond their Cascade Heights community, and they can see the potential that is out there for them in the future,” Momon said. “I’m hoping that they’ll walk away understanding healthy habits to help them in life, and that they will use these habits daily.”
