Finch Elementary School students in grades 3-5 had the wonderful opportunity to meet author/illustrator Adam Rex on Dec. 4. Approximately 60 students logged in, after instructional time, to hear his newly released book, On Account of the Gum. Rex shared his new book, demonstrated illustration, and answered student questions. In The Media On Dec. 4, APS Media Services Coordinator Patrice Laird-Walker joined Kevin Pride of Atlanta Business Journal Radio to discuss the 2020-2021 Race2Read challenge and the benefits of having all Atlantans model the habit of reading 20 minutes every day for our students.
