Atlanta Public Schools Will Release Students Early, January 22 Due to Predicted Severe Winter Weather

ATLANTA – Following Georgia Governor Nathan Deal’s executive order, Atlanta Public Schools will release students from schools and employees early Friday, January 22 due to predicted severe winter weather.

In addition, APS has cancelled all after school activities scheduled for Friday evening through Saturday, January 23. This includes SAT administration that was scheduled for Saturday.

School officials will release students at the following times:

Elementary Schools:    11a.m.

Middle Schools:             1p.m.

High Schools:                 12 p.m.

APS Officials will continue to monitor the weather throughout this evening and Friday.
