MasterChef Junior is searching for some of the most gifted young cooks in America right here in Atlanta. The national FOX hit cooking competition will host casting calls from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Doubletree Atlanta Downtown, 160 Ted Turner Dr., Atlanta, GA 30303. While this competition is a nationwide search, Atlanta Public School students between the ages of 8 and 13 are invited to audition next weekend. Many APS students may have seen this competition before, but Casting Associate Producer Nicole Mirkof does not want any preconceived notions to intimidate children interested in trying out. “I have to tell kids not to be intimidated by the skill level they see on our show,” said Mirkof. “Because no one walks into our open casting call cooking like a MasterChef.” MasterChef Junior is looking for cooks now through April 2016.
