Kindergarten students colored “Brightening your day,” images of kindness sheets provided by KIND Snacks. After coloring the sheets, each student received a KIND snack and sticker to remind them to be KIND to each other. The colored sheets were then included in care packages delivered by KIND Snacks to senior citizens at Signature Healthcare of Buckhead 54 later that day. The care packages also included Bombas socks, which donates a pair of socks for every pair purchased.

This special activity ties into Atlanta Public Schools’ Social and Emotional Learning initiative which focuses on children, adolescents and adults acquiring and effectively applying the knowledge, attitudes, and skills in five areas: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making for better adjustment and academic performance, reflected by positive social behaviors, fewer conduct problems, less emotional distress and improved grades and test scores.
Happy World Kindness Day!
