The D.M. Therrell High School Panthers football team was voted WAGA-Fox 5’s High 5 Sports Team of the Week (Sept. 28-Oct. 2) with over 100,000 votes. The Therrell Panthers are the second team to receive this honor from the High 5 Sports Team during the 2015-2016 football season.

Fox 5 Reporter Cody Chaffins and the Fox 5 team descended on the campus of Therrell High School to broadcast live on Good Day Atlanta for the “Team of the Week” pep rally. Atlanta Public Schools Associate Superintendent of High Schools Dr. Timothy Gadson presented the High 5 Sports Team of the Week trophy to Therrell High School Panthers Head Football Coach Dominic Calloway, his coaching staff and the football team before the entire school body and staff.
Atlanta Board of Education member Jason Esteves, At-Large Seat 9 (Districts 5&6), Jasper Jewell, APS Director of Athletics, Kandice Mitchell, Assistant Director of Athletics and other APS officials were in attendance for the festivities.
