Salutatorian and Star Student from Frederick Douglass Nihjur Yarbrough is headed to Georgia Tech

Nihjur Yarbrough is a well-rounded student and an astounding multi-instrumentalist. He has the unique talent to play 12 different instruments consisting of the trumpet, euphonium, alto saxophone, trombone, tuba, xylophone, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, piano, French horn, mellophone and double bass. He plans to attend the Georgia Institute of Technology to major in Computer Science and minor in Music Performance. His career goal is to become a great software engineer working for either a technology or automobile company. Nihjur’s other life goals are to write a symphony composition and join a second-line band. He has four siblings and wants to be the first male in his immediate family to attend and graduate from college.
