Thirty-nine APS Scholar Athletes Participate in National Signing Day
ATLANTA – Thirty-nine Atlanta Public Schools (APS) scholar athletes announced which college or university they will lend their academic and athletic talents to this fall during the district’s National Signing Day ceremony at Maynard Holbrook Jackson High School held Feb. 4.

Hosted by the APS Department of Athletics, APS high school scholar-athletes representing football, basketball and baseball, signed official letters of intent to accept athletic scholarships from colleges and universities across the country. APS school athletic directors, head coaches, family members, teammates and classmates were on hand to celebrate with their students.
This is the first year APS has had four National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I football early enrollees in the history of the APS athletics program. Early enrollees include three from Benjamin E. Mays High School Raiders, who played in the GHSA Class AAAAA state championship: Natrez Patrick, who signed with the University of Georgia; Dallas Warmack, University of Alabama; Khalil Brooks, Middle Tennessee State University. The fourth early signee is Aaron Williams from The New Schools at Carver, who signed with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Henry W. Grady High School senior Amyr Smith signed his letter of intent with Morehouse College, where he will receive a scholarship to play both football and baseball. The following students have signed a National Letter of Intent with the following colleges and universities:
