APS Parents Encouraged to Take the Georgia Parent Survey between November 2014 and February 2015

Atlanta Public Schools parents are encouraged to participate in the Georgia Parent Survey administered by the Georgia Department of Education. Data from the Georgia Parent Survey will be used along with the Georgia Student Health Survey and the Georgia School Personnel Survey to calculate the School Climate Star Rating within the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI).  The Georgia Parent Survey is open through Saturday, February 7, 2015.

Parents are able to complete the survey using their personal computers, smartphones or electronic tablets.  For parents that do not have access to the Internet, school administrators may allow parents to complete the Georgia Parent Survey at school.

The Georgia Parent Survey has 24 questions and should take no more than 5 – 10 minutes to complete.  A Spanish version of the parent survey will be available soon. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis.  Data results from the Georgia Parent Survey will not be available to the public and will not be posted online.

All APS parents should participate in the Georgia Parent Survey.  However, there is no mandatory participation rate.

The link to the Georgia Parent Survey is posted below.  After you click on the link, a drop-down menu will appear and parents should use the drop-down menu to select Atlanta Public Schools and their child’s school.  If the school is not included in the drop-down menu, please notify your school’s principal.
