Valedictorian at Carver Early College Shariff Lee-Brown to Study Technology at Penn State

“In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.” These words have guided Shariff Lee-Brown throughout his four years at Carver Early College and his two years of dual enrollment at Georgia State University.

Carver Early College provides a rigorous academic environment with an opportunity to complete up to 60 hours of college credit while still in high school.

Shariff Lee Brown’s experiences at both Carver and Georgia State have inspired his personal definition of knowledge. Additionally, Shariff’s discussions and interactions with his teachers and friends have led him to conclude that he must be the change he wants to see in the world.

A Gates Millinieum Scholar, Shariff plans to major in Computer Science at Pennsylvania State University. His career goal is to become a software engineer.
