Demeisha Crowley is the class of 2014 valedictorian at Booker T. Washington High School of Banking, Finance and Investment.
Nelson Mandela once stated, “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.” Inspired by his words, Demeisha has taken advantage of the countless resources in her school to further her education and leadership skills.
Demeisha says that as a low-income student she faced many obstacles, but she always believed that the sky is the limit. She thanks her family, principal, school counselors and teachers for their endless support. “It is because of you, that i have grown into the young lady I am today,” she says.
She looks forward to attending Boston University where she will major in Biology and Public Health. Her career goal is to become a pharmacist.
The graduation ceremony for Booker T. Washington is Saturday, May 24 at 12 p.m.
