Partnership with local arm of national telecom company creates excitement for students and generates much-needed funds Maynard Jackson High School’s Athletic Department was the recent recipient of a generous $2,500 donation from Metro PCS. This donation is the culmination of a yearlong business partnership between APS Athletics and Metro PCS. APS Athletics was supported by Metro PCS at several school sporting events during the 2013-2014 school year, including football and basketball games, at which students and fans were asked to use social media to vote for their favorite player of the game. Each week the winning player received $100 and other gifts from Metro PCS. The school with the most responses was Maynard Jackson High School, which resulted in the donation. “We are extremely pleased with our partnership with Metro PCS,” said Jeff Beggs, APS Director of Athletics. “These are exactly the types of relationships that help to benefit our schools and students in so many ways.” Share this: Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Print (Opens in new window) Print More Share on X (Opens in new window) X Like this:Like Loading… Discover more from APS Today Subscribe to get the latest posts sent to your email.
