A Night Under the Stars: Thomasville Heights Elementary School’s Father-Daughter Dance

The young ladies of Thomasville Heights Elementary were honored to invite their fathers, male family members and other influential men in their lives to escort them to a magical night under the stars at the 2014 Father-Daughter Dance.

The students walked down the red carpet and had a memorable dance to “Dance with my Father” by Luther Vandross. The dance included food, music, pictures, carnations, tiaras, and even a hula-hoop contest as well as a soul train line. Students were dressed in their best formal attire and treated like little princesses for the evening.

“This was a very elegant event,” said Piper Swain, second grade teacher.  “This will show our little ones how they should be treated and most importantly, their fathers or father figures are there to show their love and commitment. This night is one to remember.”
