The Dunbar Learning Complex, a model for early learning education located inside of Dunbar Elementary School, helps children and their parents build a solid foundation for success in school and life.
Educare Atlanta is located on the first floor of Dunbar Elementary School, and teachers and staff from both schools collaborate to align curriculum from infant-toddler programs through fifth grade.
“The Early Learning Center at Dunbar Elementary is great work happening as a result of collaborative partnerships,” said David White, APS’ east region executive director of schools.
A brand new website offers an up-close look at the complex, which aligns high-quality early and elementary education, emphasizing literacy development as well as child and family well-being overall. The site also highlights the research behind this unique approach, and the elements key to its success, in hopes of providing educators and others throughout the country with resources to inform and inspire them in their own work.
