Advanced SPARK Chorus receives a check through the Gladiators fundraising program Springdale Park Elementary School’s Advanced SPARK Chorus recently received a check for $507.60 from Gwinnett Gladiators after performing “O Canada” prior to a game through the Gladiators fundraising program, sponsored by Town Center Music-Suwanee. The fundraising program offers organizations an opportunity to perform a patriotic song at a game and sell tickets at a discounted rate. “The Gwinnett Gladiators organization has made it so easy and fun to raise funds for our music programs,” says Brianne Turgeon, music teacher at Springdale Park Elementary School. “This is our second year performing at a game, and we’ve raised over a thousand dollars since we started working with the Gladiators, just for singing the anthem.” The funds raised will be used for transportation costs, new chorus shirts for students, and to purchase music for the Large Group Performance Ensemble. “Aside from the excitement of performing for thousands of people at a professional sporting event, our students have had a blast watching the hockey games,” said Turgeon. “I encourage other APS music and chorus teachers to reach out and schedule a time to sing in Gwinnett!” Share this: Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Print (Opens in new window) Print More Share on X (Opens in new window) X Like this:Like Loading… Discover more from APS Today Subscribe to get the latest posts sent to your email.
