Maynard H. Jackson student artwork showcased at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport

This summer, Delta North Companies and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport showcased artwork titled“ Phoenix Rising from Peach” created by Maynard H. Jackson High School  students during the completion of the company’s construction project in the Maynard H. Jackson International Terminal.

The painting sold for $450, and Delta North Companies provided an additional $500 to support Maynard H. Jackson High School. All proceeds from the event benefits Maynard Jackson’s fine arts program.

Principal Stephanie Johnson states that she is very proud of the detailed artwork her Maynard Jackson High School student participants submitted for the showcase as ninth and tenth grade students. The school looks forward to a lasting partnership with Delta North Companies and Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, and appreciates the support of arts at Jackson.

Student artists contributing to the painting were: Reid Rosbottom, Cherisse Nelson, Raquon Owns, Delfina Booth, Ivan Silva, Tamai Shealey, Brenda Ontivelos, Griffin Ramsey, Tyra Nowels, Tea Antigiovanni, and Shanda Strong.
