We at Carver HSR would like to congratulate our 2013 National HOSA winners! We have two winners who worked hard and competed against the top 3 students in EACH of our 50 states. The event was Life Support Skills in which students demonstrated proper CPR skills and are given a random First Aid skill. Julian Colvard received a bronze metal placing 3rd and Brandon Green received a gold metal placing 1st. We are very excited for these young men! HOSA is a national student organization endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education Division of ACTE. HOSA’s two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. HOSA’s goal is to encourage all health occupations instructors and students to join and be actively involved in the HSE-HOSA Partnership. HOSA provides a unique program of leadership development, motivation, and recognition exclusively for secondary, postsecondary, adult, and collegiate students enrolled in HSE programs. HOSA is 100% health care. Thank you to Dr. Darian Jones for always supporting our program and encouraging our students to be great! We also want to thank our CTE team Brene Bradley and Dr. Micheal Maze for all your support. Congratulations, Julian and Brandon! written by LaRhonda Palmer, Teacher at the Carver School of Health Sciences and Research Share this: Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Print (Opens in new window) Print More Share on X (Opens in new window) X Like this:Like Loading… Discover more from APS Today Subscribe to get the latest posts sent to your email.
